We hold regular All Members meetings to do our business and socialize. Our Culture Days are special events to do various activities which help promote and preserve Okinawan culture. These fun-filled social gatherings offer our members an opportunity to learn more about Okinawan culture by doing such things as cooking traditional Okinawan dishes, making Origami (folded paper) figures, learning Okinawan songs, practicing the language, etc.
We also sponsor our own DFW Chanpuru Dancers. This group performs primarily traditional Okinawan Kimono dancing and Eisa drum dancing. Our performers are very popular and perform at local festivals and events. We occassionally offer our members special classes such as Okinawan cooking, Okinawan language, etc.
